First, up the Shoreline Scoop, where we bring you the latest news affecting Salisbury Beach From the Newburyport Daily News in an article by Matt Petri titled Salisbury's New Beach Bar. After securing a liquor license in July, the group behind 10's Show Club has officially opened the doors to the Sandlot Beach Bar, managed by Peter DePessa. The Sandlot aims to bring a new vibe to Salisbury Beach with an outdoor seating area, live music and Salty's Lobster Shack. Despite initial pushback from abutters concerned about noise and rowdy behavior, the community response has been positive so far. Salisbury Selectman Terry Marenghi is optimistic about the new establishment's future, noting that any issues have been minimal and resolved quickly. De Pesa emphasizes that the Sandlot is a separate entity from the Gentleman's Club, attracting a different clientele. He is excited about the support from the community and expects even more visitors as the tourist season picks up. For more details, check out the full article by Matt Petrie in the Newburyport Daily News. The link is in our show notes. And that's the Shoreline Scoop for this week.
